Mischa top of the class on longboard

Piha’s Mischa Davis (daughter of Steve and Monique), topped the women’s longboard champs at Raglan in the weekend. With 12.53 points she was ahead of Belinda Goodwin of Mt Maunganui on 11.3 and Alexia Poulter of Raglan on 9.83. The competitions are part of the Hyundai Tour coming Piha’s way next week. Piha top surfbreak in the Auckland region

When Auckland Council surveyed surfers for their top surfbreaks, Piha came home as the most surfed and the favourite surfbreak in the Auckland region. Other valued surfbreaks were Te Arai, Forestry, Muriwai and Maori Bay. The survey attracted 1452 responses and surfers were very experienced, 67% having surfed for more than 10 years.
