A female tramper rang in the rescue crew when she got trapped in dense bush and gorse at the south end of Piha beach, above the Tasman Lookout Track. Police sent in the Eagle Helicopter which dropped a rescuer into the bush near where they located the phone. That rescuer was able to guide the woman back safely to the settlement.
