SUMMARY:Drop-In On-site wastewater bylaw Barnett Hall
DESCRIPTION:I just wanted to give you some brief details on the above upcoming consultation due to be open for feedback from 1 August-31 August 2018.  This is the first of four bylaw review consultations due to take place between now and the end of the year. As this consultation deals with a bylaw\, it has triggered a Special Consultative Procedure\, which means we must develop a statement of proposal and make this publicly available\, allow feedback for a minimum of a month and ensure people are given an opportunity to present their views to the council through spoken. For this consultation we will be consulting on the proposal to revoke four legacy on-site wastewater bylaws. These bylaws have been made redundant by the now operative Auckland Unitary Plan and are no longer required. The former council areas covered by the legacy bylaws are:\n \n  \n\nNorth Shore City\nWaiheke\nRodney District Council\nPapakura District Council\n\n  \n \nWe predict that the majority of feedback for this consultation will come from residents in these areas who have septic tanks and from on-site waste water suppliers and maintenance organisations.  We are currently working on getting contact details for all affected households and a list of maintenance organisations that we can send an email to the day the consultation opens\, advising of the proposed revocation and a link to the online form so they can provide their feedback. In addition\, we will be holding four drop-in sessions in these areas.  These will be open to anyone to attend and will be attended by Subject Matter Experts\, members of the Unitary Plan Team and members of the Panel who will be appointed by the regulatory committee in the coming week. Team members from our unit will also be in attendance to provide support on the day.  \n \nEvent Details\n\n\n\n\n\n \n\n\nDate\nEvent\nVenue\nEvent Time\n\n\nSaturday 11 August\nWaiheke Drop in Session – Onsite Wastewater\nSurfdale Hall Main Hall\n1.45-3.45pm\n\n\nSaturday 18 August\nNorth Drop in Session  – Onsite Wastewater\nWarkworth Masonic Hall Main Hall\n10.00am-12.00pm\n\n\nThursday 23 August\nSouth Drop in Session – Onsite Wastewater\nPukekohe Town Hall Main Hall\n6.00-8.00pm\n\n\nSaturday 25 August\nPiha/West Drop in Session – Onsite Wastewater\nBarnett Hall\, Piha\n2.00-4.00pm\n\n\n\n \nThese events will be publicised on the Have Your Say website during the consultation period – flyers and posters will also be provided to the relevant local board offices\, services centres and libraries to put up letting of the event in their local area.
