A pregnant woman was robbed at knifepoint while walking on the Upper Nihotupu Reservoir Track yesterday (7 January) at about 10.45 am. The woman, in her mid-30s, was about 5 minutes from the carpark on Piha Road when two men with their faces covered emerged from the bush.

One had a knife and demanded money. She had no cash but they took her rings, bracelet and watch. The men fled and the woman ran to the carpark where she flagged down a passing police car. She was shaken but not physically harmed.
