Elliot Paerata-Reid is through to the semi-finals of the under-18 Hyundai National Surfing Champs.

Here’s seen here today (Wednesday 16th January) with one of his many fans, Rafael Hosking, having just successfully contested the quarter-final round.

Other Piha contestants to make a mark on Day Two (15 January) were Mischa Davis with a 1st in round 1 of women’s longboard (Anna Jolly 2nd), Anna Jolly and Carolyn Miller won their heats in the over 30 women, Tane Wallis won his heat in the men’s longboard round 1.
