Body of missing swimmer found

The body of a swimmer who went missing at Lake Wainamu on Sunday morning has been found.
Fifty-year-old Grant Robert Faulkner went for an early morning swim at Lake Wainamu at Bethells Beach on Sunday, but failed to return.
Family notified police of his disappearance about 10.30am. His towel and keys remained untouched and there was no indication he had returned to his car.
Police dive squads discovered his body after midday today about 20m from the shoreline after a two-day search effort.
Police say they are thankful to local residents for their help.
The incident has now been referred to the coroner.
